Downtown Haddonfield is one of those spots that does not get nearly enough credit as an engagement photo location. As a NJ engagement photographer, I shoot in a lot of cute downtowns, but Haddonfield has quickly become one of my favorite spots for engagement photos in New Jersey and I cannot wait to bring more couples here!

A Hidden Gem Kind of Town

Most downtown areas have the typical locations that one might have photos in front of, like a cafe, an ice cream shop or a brick wall that welcomes you to the official downtown location. If you take the time to wander Downtown Haddonfield, you’ll find gorgeous little pockets tucked around churches and historic buildings that most people walk right past. They’re the perfect spots for unique engagement photos and proof of that was with Victoria and Matt’s engagement session.

Victoria and Matt’s outfits fit the whole energy of the charming little town perfectly too, with that classic small town charm mixed with a bit of polish.

My favorite shot from the entire session happened almost by accident. We wandered into a church courtyard we were not even planning on using and it turned out to be one of the best spots of the day. It is such a good reminder that beauty is everywhere if you know how to look for it and staying open to detours can lead you somewhere better than the plan you started with!

Why the Starbucks Stop Mattered

Victoria and Matt had their very first date at the Starbucks in downtown Haddonfield, so of course we had to swing by and get a few photos there, too! Neither of them had any idea just how many good spots this little town had to offer until we started walking around together. Picking a location with real sentimental value, even something as simple as a coffee shop, gives you photos with a story behind them, and those tend to be the ones my couples love most.
