I loved getting to capture Megan & Luis’ elegant Old City Philadelphia engagement photos! The location is every photographer’s dream! Timeless, elegant, and filled with the most beautiful buildings for that perfect backdrop. We strolled around Merchants Exchange, the Second Bank, and Parc in Rittenhouse Square, where these lovebirds had their first date.

Megan & Luis’ Old City Philadelphia Engagement Photos

Megan & Luis is such a sweet couple! They met on Bumble (modern love, am I right?), and they’re all about sharing dishes at the newest spots and hitting up happy hour. They currently do long-distance, and long-distance couples tend to be extra cuddly. It was so sweet to be able to capture them and all those special in-between moments! They were total naturals in front of the camera!

The couple wanted to show off their personalities and love story in their photos (which is something every couple shouldn’t be afraid of doing!). They love sculptures and art, so it felt fitting to use all that Old City architecture to tell their story.

And, of course, we couldn’t skip Parc in Rittenhouse Square. We had to honor that first date spot!

We also went to capture their engagement photos at the Merchants Exchange Building. We had to wait a little bit to use it as our backdrop because of wedding parties. But hey, a little patience for that perfect shot is totally worth it, right?

Top tip – a weekday engagement session would allow you to avoid this issue. And sunrise is also a good option, because there are fewer people around. Overall, we got really lucky and made it work, because it was cold and, therefore, not as crowded as it could have been!
