Bethlehem is my hometown and I’ve spent years wandering Main St and all its corners. It was my go-to place to shoot at, and it felt like such a full circle moment when Christine & Joe booked me to capture their movie theater engagement photos there! Okay, we captured in a few more locations than the movie theater, but it definitely was the most special spot for the couple, and you’ll find out why in a moment!

The Story that Lead to These Fun Movie Theater Engagement Photos

Christine & Joe met on Bumble and bonded over their mutual love for Lord of the Rings. It turned out they actually grew up just 10 minutes away from each other, but as life would have it – went to different schools and hung out with different people, so they never met before.

Their first date was a movie date, and they also got engaged at a movie theatre, so this spot felt like an obvious choice for their engagement session!

Fun fact, we actually wanted to use a different movie theatre, but their lights weren’t on, so we had to pivot. This is the thing you must know about me, I ALWAYS have backup plans ready for these scenarios! So we headed to a different spot for their movie theater engagement photos I had on standby just in case. #prepared

Christine & Joe had their engagement session during the holiday madness, so we didn’t explore the popular areas you might expect out of Bethlehem. But it was SO FUN to get creative and try out other spots you wouldn’t normally explore!

This is where my knowledge of the area came in very handy, because if a location wouldn’t work out, I knew exactly where to take the couple!

The vibe of the day was nothing short of warm and fuzzy. I played around with some filmy edits to give their shots that retro glam. And I absolutely LOVED their outfits! When I saw them, I literally thought to myself “WOW, I’d wear that!”
