Imagine a place that’s straight out of a dreamy movie scene – that’s Palmer Square for ya! We’re talking gorgeous buildings, streets that scream ‘historic charm,’ and an autumn vibe that’s just chef’s kiss.

I love it when couples choose to combine their engagement session with a date night! Alexa and Joe were total #couplegoals during their session, from giggling over ice cream to flipping through vintage records. They were naturals in front of the camera.

They just kept chatting, laughing, and being all lovey-dovey. And me? I felt like the third wheel, but like, the happiest third wheel ever. They made tagging along with my camera and capturing those spontaneous, tender moments so easy. And those long-range shots felt SO cinematic.

Best Time for Princeton Engagement Photos

Princeton is a gorgeous city for your engagement photos. It has beautiful architecture, and it really is stunning all year round! I never get tired of taking photos there! For Alexa & Joe’s engagement photos, we roamed the Palmer Square downtown area, and some spots closer to the university campus were more crowded than other streets we found.

If you want to have your engagement session in Princeton, I’d recommend planning it for when students are off campus, as well as on the weekends. However, Alexa and Joe had their session on a Sunday evening during the semester, and we made it work – so don’t let timing stop you from capturing your pics there!

The Story That Led to Their Engagement Session in Palmer Square

Let’s talk about Alexa and Joe. These lovebirds have been writing their love story for a decade. They met online (hello, modern romance!) and did the whole long-distance dance for half that time. But hey, when you know, you know, right? In 2018, they finally united for good when Joe moved in with Alexa, and the rest is history!

They are such a silly, fun-loving couple, and they don’t take themselves too seriously! And I LOVED capturing their personalities and love story during their engagement session.
