Every love story has a unique starting point, and for Hayley and Justin, it began during their sophomore year in college. Living on the same floor seemed like a simple coincidence, but a little nudge from fate in the form of a friend sharing a room with Justin on Hayley’s floor brought them together!

Hayley and Justin love a good adventure and wanted to incorporate adventurous and outdoorsy elements into their engagement photoshoot! All of that leads us to these dreamy White Cliffs of Conoy engagement photos!

Capturing Their Love at White Cliffs of Conoy

As a PA wedding and engagement photographer, I strive to take the most “true-to-you” photos by really getting to know you. Hayley and Justin wanted to capture their playful energy and those intimate, magical moments when they look at each other.

And I believe we did exactly that! Just look at these cuties!!

White Cliffs of Conoy Engagement Photos

We chose White Cliffs of Conoy as their engagement photo location in Lancaster, PA. The cliffs, around 30 feet high, are unlike anything I’ve seen in Pennsylvania. Formed from industrial waste from limestone and dolomite dumping, they add a strikingly unique backdrop for your engagement photos!

It’s a nature-y spot without the typical green and floral scenes. The whiteish cream backdrop of the cliffs offered a beautiful contrast, making their outfits and skin tones POP against it!

Overlooking the Susquehanna River, these cliffs offer the most beautiful view of the sunset. It’s a bit of a drive from the Philly area and about a 25-30 min walk/hike on a paved trail, but it’s well worth the effort. Koser Park provides a convenient and free parking lot, with a trail leading straight to the cliffs.

The path is beautifully lined with trees and is frequently used by walkers, bikers, and pet owners. Adding to the convenience, there are restrooms both at the parking lot and right before the cliffs’ entrance.

One of the most awesome moments of the session was meeting Maggie, a local man’s pet bird! Maggie sat on Justin’s head, performed a couple of tricks for us, and even said “hello” a few times! That was the coolest way to start the shoot!

Capturing the Sunset and Celebrating Their Love

And once we were at the cliffs, we walked around to different spots along the top for different vantage points, jammed to some 2000s emo music, and hung out while taking stunning photos to celebrate their engagement! There were so many breathtaking views!

Their outfits reflected their personal styles perfectly, with Justin in an off-white short-sleeve button-down (and his favorite accessory, suspenders!), and Hayley in a stunning emerald green cottage-core style dress.

With Hayley and Justin’s wedding coming up at an Airbnb mansion in the Catskills, this intimate, outdoorsy, and adventurous photo shoot felt just right!
